Animated scenes for a Sber live-action spot about an education loan. The main characters are students from different fields who feel out of place. The animation shows their transition from boring studies to their real passions.

STYLE RESEARCH We were excited to try a new graphic style, experimenting with angular shapes — and it fit the indie format of the video perfectly. GIRL CHARACTER The stylised animated character needed to clearly resemble the actress in the video.

ENVIRONMENT STILLS AND FRAMES We preserved the geometry of the lecture hall but transformed it into an abstract, fantastical environment.

The storyline has the girl breaking through her 'ceiling of possibilities' and the monotonous reality, flying towards her dream — of becoming an animator :)

ANIMATION Animation combines several layers and techniques. Frame-by-frame character animation on a 3D background, with objects and effects animated frame by frame, plus motion.

The scene included several spaces and a room that had to be disassembled, which was easier to realise in 3D.

'UNDERWATER GUY' CHARACTER This character, like Franz Kafka, wallows in apathy in the world of law and jurisprudence, feeling at the very bottom.

ANIMATION For this episode all the elements were drawn by hand. We tried various versions of the character's final transformation — our favourite is the one with the giant jacket :)
