Watch Out, Sobchak!

Story We picked up the ironic wordplay in the show's title and proposed a dog as the main character of the titles. The result is a surrealist trip of a woman-dog alter-ego through her own subconscious.

The Dog To find the perfect dog, we sketched a lot. Everyone in the studio had to come up with their own version, resulting in a pile of drawings. The character was found — a woman-dog, an anxious stray, a pooch who, tongue hanging out, jumps and dashes off to nowhere in particular.

Inspirations The walk and pose were borrowed from our favourite Norwegian equestrian Ayla Kirsten. The furniture was suggested by a Zuckerberg interview — those chairs simply conquered us.

Characters The whole story is permeated by a group of strange characters. These monsters, devils, goblins — the mad companions of an unprincipled journalist in a world of scandals and exposés.

Backgrounds The surrealist locations reference the symbolic layers of Ksenia's personality. She only asked for a bit of recklessness. Despite her initial objections, we couldn't resist and added more psychedelic design. The colour palette was toned down several times to achieve the desired level of otherworldliness and gloom.
